Requirements

  • Japanese Medical License (with >5 years of clinical experience)
  • Specialty in Neurology, Psychiatry, or Neurosurgery, with a specialization in neuroscience, particularly in neurodegenerative diseases (Alzheimer’s disease included), mental disorders, or pain (neuropathic pain included)
  • Several years of experience in writing scientific papers
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams effectively
  • Excellent communication skills, both internally and externally, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Business-level proficiency in both English and Japanese
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strategic and logical thinking skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead/support clinical development activities in collaboration with relevant departments
  • Provide support for clinical trial implementation
  • Lead the preparation of application materials for regulatory submissions
  • Lead medical affairs activities, including key opinion leader engagement, information sharing, and relationship building
  • Lead activities related to preparing for the launch of new drugs
  • Contribute to the planning of medical events (e.g., advisory board meetings)
  • Develop and implement strategies for medical education activities (e.g., organizing and running educational conferences, creating educational materials)
  • Develop scientific evidence (e.g., real-world evidence generation)
  • Lead the preparation of scientific presentations and publications, including collaboration with key opinion leaders
  • Engage with external customers (including key opinion leaders) in discussions regarding the drug
  • Respond to medical and scientific inquiries from external customers (e.g., preparing responses, conducting site visits)
  • Develop strategies to enhance product value after market launch, in collaboration with the sales/marketing team
