Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in billing operations, contract analysis, or financial operations in a complex business setting
  • Expertise in SaaS, recurring revenue models, or services-based billing environments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, data prep, file validation)
  • Experience interpreting legal and financial documents related to pricing and billing
  • Advanced English level, with the ability to explain complex billing issues to all partners
  • Familiarity with systems like Salesforce (case management) and Oracle E-Business Suite (ERP)
  • Experience supporting audits and revenue compliance activities, including documentation and validation of revenue deferrals, credit memos, and contract-based billing treatments
  • Working knowledge of revenue recognition principles, analyzing contract terms (e.g., performance obligations, delivery milestones, variable consideration) and prepare billing inputs in consideration of revenue schedules and recognition timing
  • Ideal Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Experience working in shared services, BPO, or a billing center of excellence
  • Knowledge of billing configuration file prep, invoice reconciliation, and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Oracle OBIEE)
  • Background in documenting and improving business processes
  • Exposure to Agile or other structured project delivery methods

Responsibilities

  • Interpret client contracts to define billing terms, pricing structures, and service commitments
  • Validate service orders and billing configurations to ensure agreement on contractual agreements
  • Prepare monthly billing files with accurate data inputs for centralized processing
  • Manage billing inquiries and escalations through case management systems like Salesforce
  • Review invoices to confirm all billable items are correctly captured and coded
  • Collaborate across teams and support process improvements to enhance billing accuracy and compliance
  • Support external or internal audits of billing and revenue transactions, including documentation of revenue deferrals, contract treatment, or credit memos
  • Identify contract and order characteristics that influence revenue recognition, such as performance obligations, delivery milestones, or variable consideration
