Requirements

Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and ideally have 1-2 years of data entry or administrative experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs is required, along with outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred, and an understanding of federal and state laws pertaining to leaves of absence is a plus.

Responsibilities

The Claims Processing Specialist will be responsible for entering claims-related data into corporate systems, printing and collating daily statutory claims payments, and mailing forms. This role involves registering new claims, reviewing data for errors, researching incomplete submissions, and performing outreach to claimants and providers to obtain necessary information. The specialist will also work to achieve productivity goals, promote a positive customer experience, maintain confidentiality, and respond to queries. Additional duties include scanning documents, printing files, managing returned mail and the claim email box, and assisting with overpayments.
