Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, with a Master’s degree preferred. A Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred but not required. A minimum of 3 years of experience in civil engineering focusing on transportation and roadway projects is essential. Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroStation is required, along with strong knowledge of transportation planning and traffic engineering. Proven project management experience, excellent communication skills, and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are also necessary.
The Civil Project Engineer will develop and review engineering plans, designs, and specifications for transportation and roadway projects. They will oversee project timelines, budgets, and resources while coordinating with project teams, contractors, and clients. Conducting site assessments and technical analyses to support project planning is a key duty. Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and implementing quality control measures during construction phases are also required. The engineer will maintain effective communication with clients and stakeholders, providing regular project updates and promoting innovative and sustainable engineering practices.
