Requirements

U.S. citizenship (required for ability to obtain security clearance)
Active Top Secret (TS) security clearance strongly preferred
Demonstrated experience supporting DoD or Intelligence Community R&D efforts (e.g., DARPA, AFRL, ONR, ARL)
Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences
Background in AI, autonomy, optimization, machine learning, or related scientific disciplines
Track record of successful technical proposal contributions and/or leadership on advanced research programs
Strong communication and collaboration skills; comfortable working independently and in cross-functional teams
Ph.D. or M.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (Bachelor’s + 15 years, Master’s + 13 years, PhD + 10 years, or equivalent experience)

Responsibilities

Provide technical consulting and subject-matter expertise on advanced R&D programs
Contribute to proposal development, including concept generation, technical writing, and review
Advise teams on emerging research directions, system architectures, and algorithmic approaches
Support customer engagement by offering technical insights during meetings, reviews, and briefings
Collaborate with STR scientists and engineers to identify new opportunities and shape program strategies
