Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Chief of Staff, within a founder’s office, or in a related operational role
  • Ability to translate strategy into action while managing day-to-day details without missing the big picture
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to clearly articulate ideas and ensure alignment across teams
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment, taking initiative and navigating ambiguity with a positive attitude
  • Skilled at building trusted relationships across levels and functions
  • Acts decisively and moves fast to make progress, preferring taking initiative and learning through execution over waiting for perfect conditions
  • Comfortable with technology and able to create or automate internal systems and workflows when needed

Responsibilities

  • Prepare for Key Meetings: Organize and prepare materials for all-hands meetings, board meetings, and other high-impact gatherings
  • Ensure clear communication between the CTO, internal teams, and external stakeholders, keeping everyone aligned and informed
  • Take ownership of preparing for all-hands, leading meetings when required, and ensuring discussions translate into concrete outcomes and next steps
  • Assist in the execution of key initiatives across team projects, breaking down strategic goals into actionable steps
  • Work collaboratively with various teams to ensure that projects are executed effectively and deadlines are met
  • Own and execute special, cross-functional programs end-to-end from charter and OKRs through planning, execution, change management, and measurement (e.g., running CTO staff meetings and weekly reviews, ensuring smooth office operations, maintaining the CTO priority stack and intake/triage)
  • Partner with Finance on budgeting/forecasting for the CTO org; oversee vendor relationships and contracts, track spend vs. plan and ROI
  • Provide 1:1 coaching focused on communication, project management, and collaboration to help individuals operate more effectively
  • Proactively predict the needs of the principal and the business, surfacing risks and opportunities early and preparing materials or follow-ups ahead of time
