Requirements

Candidates must have at least ten years of experience coordinating formal document creation and approval for Type, Airworthiness, and/or Production Certificates under 14 CFR Parts 23, 25, 27, or 29. Experience in conceptualizing, authoring, and executing organizational-level processes and work instructions is required. Preferred experience includes familiarity with FAA Order 8110.37 and/or FAA Order 8000.95, Product Data Management (PDM) systems like TeamCenter, navigating standardized online forms and processes, operating in a structured Project Management (PM) environment, and understanding Configuration Management (CM) principles.

Responsibilities

The Certification Specialist will interface with Wisk engineers and FAA designees to compile technical data for FAA-mandated process documents, such as Requests for Conformity (RFCs) and Statements of Compliance (8110-3s). They will interact with FAA IT representatives to maintain access to the FAA’s National Automated Conformity Inspection Process (NACIP) and Designee Management System (DMS). Responsibilities include coordinating with FAA designees (DERs and DARs) to create RFCs for compliance showings and 8110-3 forms for Type Certification compliance findings. The specialist will also provide program management and coordination oversight for in-house and contracted FAA designee activities, including design review and approval, and maintaining consulting contracts. Additionally, they will coordinate and track in-house release status, designee review/buy-off, and submission of FAA deliverables for acceptance or approval.
