Requirements

Knowledge of manufacturing techniques in accordance with customer specifications
Understanding of the state-of-the-technology in metal machining and information technologies
Familiarity with AS9100 standards and audit compliance requirements

Responsibilities

Translate drawings and electronic data into CNC part programs ensuring geometry and labor standards are met
Develop 3, 4, and 5 axis NC programs using CATIA V5 in accordance with customer specifications for efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality processes
Create setup and supporting documentation to instruct machine operators on loading and executing NC programs
Support machine prove-out activities and coordinate machine/process sequences with the team
Design tools/fixtures and develop time/cost estimates for new parts to support estimating
Develop and support efficient manufacturing processes for production parts, meeting or beating quality and cost estimates
Optimize existing production parts and strategies aligned with lean initiatives
Research and incorporate latest technological advances in machining, finishing, and assembly technologies
Support AS9100 audits and ensure compliance to established standards
Ensure programming and prove-out hours meet estimated budgets and schedules are met
Assist engineering in developing accurate and timely part estimates for customer RFQs
Ensure data integrity by properly populating specified fields for system information generation
