Requirements

  • Detailed experience in finance collections and invoice disputes
  • Background in Finance (advantageous)
  • Experience with Excel (Mandatory)
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English in a business environment

  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Keen to learn and approach subjects outside of comfort zone and propose suggestions for improvement

Responsibilities

  • Complete defined processes and procedures to deadline, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal and external standards
  • Identify anomalies as they arise and use judgement based on rules and procedures to resolve; escalate complex issues to senior team members
  • Optimize Customer Experience and Bad Debt while supporting FedEx Strategic accounts
  • Identify and investigate discrepancies in cash receipts (e.g., missing/incorrect payment details, overpayments, underpayments, unidentified payments)
  • Resolve and process unapplied cash based on research, collaboration with CFS Rep, and approved management decisions
  • Proactively communicate and share potential manual cash application upstream issues with CFS Rep and BP specialist, providing detailed information and context
  • Understand insourced Global customer account specifics and nuances to resolve cash application issues timely (e.g., Credit Note reconciliations)
  • Provide input on policy modifications/enhancements related to manual cash applications to increase auto match ratio and improve client journey
  • Escalate partial payments and customer communication for resolution of short payments or overpayments outside of tolerance per FedEx policy
  • Provide details for resolution of payments outside of tolerance
  • Apply payments to customer invoices
