Passion for transforming health care and demonstrating genuine care for patients
Ability to act as a role model, lead, and coach the pharmacy team
Knowledge of safe and accurate prescription fulfillment, pharmacy workflow procedures, and safety guardrails
Skills in patient counseling, immunizing practices, and delivering clinical care (e.g., testing, prescribing where permissible)
Understanding of pharmacy inventory management, including cold chain protection
Compliance with state Board of Pharmacy regulations

Responsibilities

Help manage and improve patient health through safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizing
Take direction from Pharmacy Manager and oversee pharmacy during bench shifts as proxy
Assume Pharmacy Manager’s day-to-day duties when serving as the only or primary pharmacist-on-duty
Strengthen pharmacy performance through coaching, follow-up, and feedback to Pharmacy Manager
Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following and directing team on workflows
Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy, resolving issues, and collaborating with healthcare teams
Proactively offer and deliver immunizations; support technicians in learning to immunize
Manage pharmacy inventory by following best practices and coaching the team
Ensure pharmacy operations comply with state regulations; escalate issues as needed
Support Pharmacy Manager with scheduling if directed
Maintain clinical skills and seek opportunities to expand knowledge
Support access to care through pharmacist-delivered clinical services where permissible
