Licensed as a pharmacist in the state of California (implied by "CA Staff Pharmacist")
Ability to take direction from the Pharmacy Manager and oversee the pharmacy as proxy during bench shifts
Flexibility for scheduling and business needs
Relevant clinical and technical skills, including company-required trainings and CMEs
Ability to maintain and expand knowledge as the industry evolves

Responsibilities

Live CVS Health's purpose by managing and improving patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
Oversee the pharmacy during bench shifts without overlap, including coaching pharmacy team members, providing feedback to the Pharmacy Manager, and strengthening performance measures
Assume Pharmacy Manager’s day-to-day duties when serving as the only or primary pharmacist-on-duty
Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following and directing the team to follow pharmacy workflow procedures and safety guardrails
Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy, genuine care, coaching the team, collaborating with healthcare teams, and resolving insurance/medication issues
Proactively offer and deliver immunizations, and engage/support Pharmacy Technicians to learn to immunize
Support effective management of pharmacy inventory by following and coaching on best practices, especially protecting cold chain products
Partner with the Pharmacy Manager to ensure compliance with state Board of Pharmacy regulations, escalating issues as needed
Support the Pharmacy Manager by writing the pharmacy schedule if directed
Maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging team dynamic
