Requirements

Act as a role model demonstrating genuine care and setting standards for the pharmacy team
Exhibit best practices when working the bench, including quarterbacking the team, providing meaningful patient counseling, and abiding by legal and regulatory guidelines
Ensure pharmacy operations are fully compliant with state Board of Pharmacy regulations at all times
Lead and develop a pharmacy team, including onboarding new Technician and Pharmacist hires with training on CVS workflow and timely completion of required training/licensure
Promote best practices, lead through change, identify and address performance opportunities, and recognize colleagues for success

Responsibilities

Live CVS purpose by managing and improving patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
Oversee the pharmacy team during bench shifts, strengthening performance measures through effective coaching and consistent follow-up
Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following and directing the team to follow pharmacy workflow procedures and safety guardrails
Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy, genuine care, collaborating with healthcare teams, and proactively resolving insurance/medication issues; coach team to do the same
Proactively offer and deliver immunizations, identify/engage/support Pharmacy Technicians to learn to immunize
Manage pharmacy inventory effectively by following and coaching team on best practices, with focus on protecting cold chain products
Escalate issues or concerns to the Rx District Manager as needed
