Act as a role model demonstrating genuine care and setting standards for the pharmacy team

Ability to oversee staff pharmacists, manage performance through observation, feedback, and reviews
Partnership skills with Store Manager for talent pipeline and cross-training

Responsibilities

Live the purpose by managing and improving patient health through safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
Oversee the pharmacy team during bench shifts, including coaching and follow-up to strengthen performance measures
Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following and directing adherence to workflow procedures and safety guardrails
Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy, genuine care, collaborating with healthcare teams, and resolving insurance/medication issues; coach team to do the same
Proactively offer and deliver immunizations; identify, engage, and support Pharmacy Technicians to learn to immunize
Manage pharmacy inventory by following and coaching best practices, focusing on cold chain protection
Conduct new Technician and Pharmacist onboarding for store and district, including CVS workflow training, ensuring timely completion of required training/licensure
Ensure full compliance with state Board of Pharmacy regulations; escalate issues to Rx DL as needed
Partner with Store Manager to maintain talent pipeline of cross-trained colleagues and ensure timely training completion for licensure
Oversee Staff Pharmacists and District Support Pharmacists (where applicable), manage performance via observation, feedback, validation, annual reviews, and gap closure
