Candidates should have a demonstrated knowledge of purchasing and supply chain management with 3+ years of experience, ideally in the aerospace or automotive fields, analytical and problem-solving expertise, strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience with ERP systems, such as Deltek/Costpoint, is preferred, as well as familiarity with FAR and DFARs.
The Buyer will plan, coordinate, and execute vendor interactions, support procurements of a wide variety of requirements including raw materials, services, fixed assets, and tooling, negotiate better pricing and terms across high-dollar and volume spend areas, identify, evaluate, and onboard potential new suppliers to improve quality, throughput, or pricing, and drive strategic initiatives for the supply chain as a whole, including compliance.
