Business Development Representative

Position Overview

SingleStore is expanding its Sales Development team and is seeking motivated sales development professionals. The SDR team at SingleStore focuses on outbound prospecting to generate opportunities for the sales team. Sales Development Representatives are assigned to account-based territories covering commercial, enterprise, and strategic target accounts. This team is composed of individuals with strong business acumen and a hunter's mentality, adept at generating their own leads.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Generate a qualified sales pipeline for SingleStore's target accounts (organizations with $100M - $1BN in annual revenue).
  • Actively prospect using phone, email, and social media, with a 50:50 split between outbound and inbound activities.
  • Collaborate with up to 4 Account Executives on account plans and prospecting strategies.
  • Identify key account stakeholders to generate opportunities for SingleStore.
  • Maintain open communication and alignment with Account Executives and management.
  • Quickly acquire a strong understanding of the SingleStore value proposition and the database industry landscape (prior data experience is a plus).
  • Consistently achieve or exceed monthly quotas for qualified opportunities and meaningful interactions with new prospects.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 1+ years of SDR (Inbound) or BDR experience in the software industry preferred.
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to become an expert on database management systems (DBMS) within the first 90 days.
  • Proven track record of executing high-volume outbound cadences via phone, email, and social media.
  • Proven track record of achieving measurable lead and pipeline goals; references preferred.
  • Formal sales training is a plus.
  • Required to be in the office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for team pipeline generation days and overall training.
