Requirements

  • Proven track record in a new business development role involving developing and managing executive-level relationships in a financial services environment, including technical sales, solution development, and new business development
  • Understanding of the UK Wealth Management market, including technology, operations, and asset management, with a strong network within the market
  • Experience and understanding of procurement or decision-making processes within various Wealth Managers, proven experience influencing decisions, dealing with senior executives, and maintaining high activity levels to meet sales targets
  • Proven success in managing and closing high-value outsourcing arrangements involving wealth management technology, operations, and/or asset management
  • Experience in cold calling, networking, developing new relationships, and various other prospecting techniques

Responsibilities

  • Establish, build, and close new business sales opportunities with a focus on the UK market, targeting wealth managers such as Private Banks, Advisers, and Private Client Investment Managers
  • Maximize current relationships and develop new ones through prospecting target clients, executing a consultative sales process, and closing new business
  • Conduct continual proactive lead generation through research and networking to identify and engage prospects, positioning SEI and the SEI Wealth Platform (SWP)
  • Research and prepare for initial prospect meetings, set execution strategy, progress further meetings, identify unique buying needs, and execute sales strategy through to deal closure
  • Attend networking and industry events, provide insightful market intelligence, maintain communication on prospects and progress, and develop knowledge of industry trends, regulatory changes, and market forces
  • Liaise with internal business areas (Marketing, Solutions, PMO, legal, and Relationship Managers) to ensure client needs are met and contribute to developing solutions and products
  • Support smooth transition of prospects to relationship and client service teams after finalizing contractual relationships
  • Identify, assess, and control risks; maintain understanding of policies, procedures, risk appetites; escalate and record risk incidents; complete required Risk Management training
