Requirements

Candidates are required to possess a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Construction Science, Business, or a related field, with a minimum of three years of experience supporting database development and data analytics, or natural gas industry experience. A Master’s degree in Business Administration, Data Science, Information Technology with five or ten years of experience in data science and/or business intelligence development and/or natural gas fundamentals modeling is preferred. Proficiency in databases (SQL, Oracle, Cube) and multi-dimensional database structures is also required, along with experience with business intelligence tools, reports, and dashboards.

Responsibilities

The Business Data Scientist will be responsible for developing, implementing, and providing production support of business intelligence reporting and sophisticated analytical model development, creating scalable and efficient processes for large-scale data analysis, organizing user interfaces and data visualization tools, training users on data transformation, exploring available data to discover patterns and anomalies, developing descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive statistical models, and working with large data sets in a hybrid cloud environment using machine learning and artificial intelligence methods to address business problems. They will also collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver technical solutions that drive business value, and perform other duties as assigned.
