Job Description

We are hiring a Business Analyst to support our client's Power Trading projects, ideally with experience in ERCOT and ISO/RTO markets.

You’ll act as the key link between business and IT, helping define requirements, manage small projects, and support trading applications.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Liaising with power trading teams to understand priorities and propose IT solutions
  • Writing and validating business and functional requirements
  • Collaborating with developers on solution design and implementation
  • Supporting testing, compliance, and incident resolution
  • Managing change requests and contributing to project planning

Qualifications

Experience:

  • 5+ years in utilities or commodity trading, with strong knowledge of U.S. power trading and scheduling.
  • ISO/RTO experience required (ERCOT preferred).

Expertise:

  • Short-term and physical power trading
  • Bid-to-bill systems (e.g., Softsmiths, PowerOptix, Adapt2)
  • Integration of power assets (CCGTs, PV, BESS)

Tech & Methods:

  • Interest in IT
  • Experience with software/app management, Agile, DevOps, and project management.

Education:

  • Degree in business, computer science, or engineering.

Languages:

  • Fluent in English; French is a plus.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong multitasking, communication, and attention to detail.
