Bachelor's degree or equivalent
3+ years of experience
Elementary computer skills such as creating MS Excel worksheets, Word documents, and checking electronic mail
Willingness to travel 1 to 5 trips per year
Supervisory skills: responsible for supervising a group of personnel in a single department or work unit who perform similar and/or interrelated tasks and activities

Responsibilities

Assist the broiler manager in the production of high-quality birds for the plant while maintaining low cost and a highly motivated workforce
Schedule chick placement and schedule birds for processing according to weight in relation to plant needs
Communicate with growers and provide advice on management practices
Monitor various feeding and health programs for broilers
Monitor cost reports, plant production, DOAs, etc., comparing previous week's performance
Work with accounting personnel to ensure accuracy and status of all broiler settlements
Ensure compliance with all USDA, NAE, NAO, AWB, and other government regulations in broiler production
Meet with and encourage broiler technical advisors on a weekly basis
Work directly with equipment companies to ensure efficient layout of equipment
Perform other responsibilities as the need arises
