Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year of experience in a baker preparation position
  • Basic math and measuring skills
  • Good work ethic, communication, and time management skills
  • Post-secondary culinary program highly preferred
  • Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule including overnights, evenings, and weekends
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending, and squatting

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and bakes artisanal breads, focaccia, and pizzas during overnight production to ensure readiness for daily service
  • Mixes, ferments, proofs, and bakes doughs according to established recipes and production schedules
  • Assists with pizza preparation and dough mixing as needed
  • Maintains a clean and sanitary production area in compliance with Department of Health standards
  • Works towards mastering all stages of overnight bakery and pizza production
  • Collaborates closely with the team to ensure consistency, efficiency, and product quality across shifts
  • Assists Sales Associates when needed and engages with guests interested in learning about bread and pizza production
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned
