Requirements

  • Ability to pass Ishihara's Color Blindness test (with possible reasonable accommodations)
  • Capability for moderately active physical work, including walking, standing for considerable lengths of time, and bending down to floor level
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as repair/maintenance, with use of two-person assist and equipment for heavier loads
  • Knowledge of maintenance, testing, and repair procedures for water treatment, dialysis, medical, testing, mechanical, and electrical equipment per manufacturer and FMCNA standards
  • Familiarity with FMCNA Technical Policies and Standards manual, compliance program, regulatory requirements, and FMS policies
  • Skills in inventory management, housekeeping, supply ordering/receiving, SAP purchase orders, and cost reporting

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, test, and repair water treatment equipment, dialysis equipment, medical equipment, testing equipment, and mechanical/electrical systems per manufacturer and FMCNA procedures
  • Document all maintenance, repairs, safety checks, and routine tasks timely
  • Conduct and document housekeeping checks, clean/disinfect water treatment equipment, and maintain environmental integrity/aesthetics
  • Ensure all testing equipment is maintained and calibrated
  • Perform building maintenance as needed and coordinate medical waste disposal
  • Collect/organize supplies, restock areas, assist in ordering/receiving disposables, create SAP purchase orders, and conduct monthly/quarterly inventory with cost reporting
  • Evaluate and report current equipment inventory
  • Ensure patient visibility via daily walk-throughs during treatments, reinforce UltraCare™ and customer service, address patient questions/concerns, and provide instructive tours of water treatment equipment
  • Process water and dialysate samples per procedures and package for shipping
  • Participate in technical QAPI activities documentation
  • Drive FMS culture through values and customer service standards, maintain effective relationships, and resolve customer service issues timely
  • Provide assistance at other facilities/acute programs, transport equipment/supplies as needed, and perform other duties as assigned
