Required skills include experience developing analytical software tools with machine learning methods and programming languages like C#, Python, and SQL, experience with relational databases and web tools/services, and familiarity with cloud technologies such as AWS and Docker. Proficiency in Windows and Linux environments is also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Bioinformatics Software Architect will develop, improve, and maintain software tools, pipelines, and web portals for analyzing complex molecular typing data from various platforms. This role involves building computational algorithms using machine learning and statistical models for process automation and data analytics, and administering bioinformatics infrastructure. Responsibilities also include searching external sequence information, analyzing experimental results, collaborating with lab scientists for product development, and participating actively in the software development lifecycle, including specifications, code reviews, and test plans.
