What You’ll Do

The Billing Specialist is an integral part of protecting the company’s revenue while compassionately serving our customers. In this role, you will assist the accounts receivable functions of our small to mid-size customer base.

You will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating cross-departmentally to ensure accuracy of customer invoicing
  • Supporting in clearing incoming customer and internal requests through the Billing Operations ticketing system to resolve billing-related issues
  • Adjusting customer accounts for changes in subscription plans or added services requested
  • Supporting maintenance of customer collection ledgers and following up with delinquent customers respectfully conveying the need for maintaining current account balances
  • Maintaining meticulous notes regarding customer interactions for cross-departmental visibility
  • Continually improving upon processes

What You’ll Bring

  • 1 year of relevant experience
  • Some experience with Zendesk
  • Experience with Chargebee, Hubspot, and Salesforce software (preferred)
  • Prior SaaS billing experience (preferred)
  • Knowledge of billing procedures and collection techniques
  • Personality Traits: Empathetic, high integrity and trustworthiness, task-oriented, meticulous record keeping
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working in multiple online environments
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent ability to organize and coordinate tasks
  • Location Requirement: Must be located in the Eastern or Central Time Zone
  • Availability: Available to work part-time shifts from 8 am to Noon OR 9 am to 1 pm
