Billing Representative - VSP Experienced

Position Overview

Enclara Healthcare is seeking a VSP experienced Billing Representative to join our Finance Revenue Cycle team. Enclara Healthcare is a leading solution provider focused on simplifying care delivery in complex patient populations to improve patient experience, quality, and cost. Partnered with Humana, our business continues to grow at a rapid pace. The Billing Representative will manage the billing process, accurately handle billing issues with Hospice patient accounts, and resolve outstanding balances.

Hours

  • This is a VSP (Variable Schedule Position) role with no guaranteed amount of hours per week. Typically will be 35-40 hours.
  • Current shift needed: 9 AM - 5 PM EST, Monday-Friday.
  • Requires availability on Saturday or Sunday 1-2 times per month.
  • The department operates between 7 AM - 6:30 PM Monday-Friday, and your shift could change based on business needs.

Responsibilities

The Billing & Reconciliation Representative will:

  • Review and reconcile the monthly census for hospice.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly customer invoices.
  • Address various billing issues with hospice accounts.
  • Work within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, with some latitude over prioritization/timing, and work under minimal direction.
  • Follow standard policies/practices that allow for some opportunity for interpretation/deviation and/or independent discretion.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experienced (beginner-intermediate level) in MS Excel
  • Experienced in other MS Office tools such as Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access
  • Ability to effectively manage time and prioritization to meet deadlines
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 1+ years of Billing, Finance, or Accounting experience
  • 1+ years of experience in Hospice or Pharmacy patient data management

Work-At-Home Requirements

  • Internet Service: Minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and upload speed of 10 Mbps recommended. Wired cable or DSL connection is suggested. Satellite, cellular, and microwave connections may be used only if approved by leadership.
  • Internet Expense Reimbursement: Associates living and working from home in California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
  • Equipment: Humana will provide telephone equipment appropriate to meet business requirements.
  • Work Environment: Must work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.

Travel

  • While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range:

  • $40,000 - $52,300 per year (This is a good faith estimate for full-time employment and may vary based on location and experience).
