Candidates should have 0-2 years of experience in entering, maintaining, and validating service and billing data, and preparing customer invoices. Strong organizational skills, the ability to spot errors in billing information, and proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel are required. Eagerness to learn new skills, adapt to new systems, and a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment are also necessary, along with good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
The Billing Assistant will perform routine billing and data entry functions, including the timely and accurate entry of new and updated customer contracts into the company's systems. They will prepare accurate bills to customers based on service contract terms, compare entered data to source documentation for accuracy, and scan source documents into the document storage system. Responsibilities also include gathering supplemental billing information, transmitting digital invoices, ensuring proper storage of billing-related documents, and assisting in resolving simple billing issues and discrepancies.
