Responsibilities

Educate customers and explain features and benefits of Consumer and Business Banking solutions; make recommendations based on customer needs
Engage customers in various ways to bank, provide solutions, and encourage use of digital capabilities
Explain high-level criteria used to decision loan applications
Complete servicing-related responsibilities for Consumer and Business Banking customers and identify opportunities for other banking needs
Follow the Bank’s sales process and provide simplified, customer-focused advice and guidance
Proactively reach out to customers to contribute to retention and expansion of relationships
Adhere to customer service standards and deliver differentiated experiences by understanding needs
Actively engage in lobby management, greet customers, inquire, and take ownership to solve banking needs
Introduce appropriate banking partners for product solutions
Assist with AML, BSA, and KYC processes; identify and escalate suspected fraud
Resolve and log customer complaints accurately
Review, approve, and help resolve customer overdrafts
Accurately complete customer transactions and related operational activities, including documenting interactions
Adhere to compliance/operational risk controls and policies
Promote an environment supporting belonging and reflecting the M&T Bank brand
Maintain internal control standards, including audit points and regulatory issues
Complete other related duties as assigned
