Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or a related field, along with 12+ years of development experience utilizing modern languages such as Python, Java, and JavaScript. They must have experience with Big Data technologies including Spark, Elasticsearch, and Hadoop, and at least 5 years of experience with both full-stack web frameworks like Django, Python, and Flask, and front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, and Typescript. Additionally, candidates should have experience with cloud computing environments like Openstack, AWS, and Azure, and familiarity with DevOps and automation tools such as Docker, Ansible, and Gitlab, and potentially geo-related mapping experience.

Responsibilities

As a Big Data Developer, you will work directly with stakeholders and Data Analysts to develop new and enhanced capabilities that help analysts achieve mission success and add core tools to an analytical suite, process ETL on new and varied data sets at scale using Spark/PySpark to handle petabytes of data, update all application workflows to improve performance and resiliency, and work in a multi-faceted software development team to build and maintain software applications backed by a self-managed cloud infrastructure. You will also solve unique and challenging intelligence problems in support of special operations analysts, prototype and provide frequent, iterative feedback, and support a diverse background of experience in mission support and software development.
