Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree, strongly preferred, and a High School Diploma or equivalent is required, along with a minimum of 2 years of business experience, preferably in a proposal management function, demonstrated proficiency in writing and content development, strong communication skills and business acumen, the ability to take initiative and creatively solve problems, and the ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment on multiple projects. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is also required, as well as exposure to at least two years of business experience, particularly in proposal management, and experience with the development, finalization, and submission of RFIs and RFPs.
The Bid Specialist will support proposal development process by reviewing, formatting, and proofing PowerPoint sales presentations, conducting internet research on sales targets and prospects, providing high-touch customer service to support the Business Development team throughout the sales cycle, coordinating the development, finalization, and submission of RFIs and RFPs, developing, proofing, editing, formatting, and creating proposals and presentations (PowerPoint or Word documents) used in the sales process, researching, analyzing, and reporting information related to prospective accounts, including company demographics, compelling events, press releases, and leadership/employee information, updating and maintaining CRM (Salesforce.com) and other sales tools such as case studies and metrics, printing and binding proposal and presentation materials.
