  • Capable of collaborating within an interdisciplinary team and monitoring progress of behavior interventions
  • Successfully complete aggression control training
  • Strong interpersonal skills for professional and assertive communication with patients, support systems, external professionals, colleagues, and supervisors
  • Ability to work independently and complete assignments within specified timeframes
  • Highly proficient in verbal and written communication skills
  • Physical capability: walking, sitting, standing; lifting a minimum of 20 pounds; reaching, handling, grasping, manual dexterity; stooping, bending, kneeling, flexible movements; verbal and hearing ability
  • Exposure to aggressive/combative patients

Responsibilities

  • Support delivery of high-quality Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) interventions
  • Train and work with assigned clinical leader to design and implement CBT-specific treatment plans
  • Provide cognitive behavioral and other therapeutic services, including groups, according to clinical standards under supervision of Clinical leader
  • Participate in supervision sessions with Clinical leader, communicate on patient progress and care plan adjustments
  • Regularly monitor effectiveness of interventions, administer outcome measures, review results, and modify interventions in consultation with Clinical leader
  • Document mental health services, therapeutic treatment plans, outcome assessments, psychosocial information, and patient care data per regulations and payer expectations
  • Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and assist in development of treatment plans
  • Communicate treatment interventions and support needs to interdisciplinary team members and support systems
  • Offer training support to direct care team members (e.g., MHT, nurses, clinic assistants) on cognitive behavioral interventions
  • Provide parent or support person training and education on supporting CBT interventions and behavioral plans (e.g., positive reinforcement, modeling behaviors, managing challenges)
  • Ensure patient safety and facility safety
  • Support changes in staffing/scheduling as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including maintaining knowledge of processes/protocols, self-directed learning, continuing education, and participating in committees/task forces/work groups
