Requirements
- Ability to proof and bake unfinished bakery goods using ovens and/or other equipment, following product handling information
- Knowledge of bakery production charts for production, display, and safe handling/storage instructions
- Capability to maintain cleaning and safety standards within the bakery department
- Understanding of club policies, procedures, and compliance
- Commitment to honesty, integrity, member focus, safety, inclusion, diversity, teamwork, speed, agility, innovation, and positive attitude
- Adherence to GOLD Member Standards (Greet, Anticipate, Appreciate) and club standards (GAA, fast/friendly/full/fresh/clean, grand opening look)
- Ability to access and read production and/or financial performance reporting for the department
Responsibilities
- Answer questions and recommend bakery items to members
- Answer member calls and take special orders
- Proof and bake all unfinished bakery goods following product handling information and using bakery production charts
- Gather products to be prepared for the next business day
- Package freshly baked goods (cookies, Danish pastries, muffins, rolls, breads, pies, cakes, etc.)
- Unpack bakery goods from the freezer and display proper amounts based on production chart recommendations
- Decorate special order or case products
- Rotate and store bakery products following food safety, freshness, and product handling policies/procedures
- Receive, inspect, and store bakery shipments
- Carry out job functions as assigned, support flawless execution, and escalate concerns as appropriate
- Deliver service excellence, resolve/deescalate member concerns, and ensure a safe/positive environment
- Work as a team to achieve goals, maintain stocked items/promotional plans, visible accurate signage, and clean/organized areas
