Requirements

6+ years of experience
Extensive cloud platform experience (preferably Amazon Web Services)
Experience with data engineering and analytics teams preferred
Experience with Databricks preferred
Expertise in public/cloud environments such as Windows and Linux operating systems
Proficiency in Configuration Management technologies (Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Cloud Provider)
Proficiency in Container technologies (Kubernetes, Docker)
Proficiency in Scripting Languages (Python, Node, PowerShell)
Proficiency in Infrastructure As Code Development (Terraform, Cloud Formation, Packer)
Strong knowledge of on-premise solutions and cloud-based solutions

Responsibilities

Analyzes, designs, codes, tests, configures and modifies software projects/products or enhancements specializing in services utilizing public cloud providers
Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to guarantee availability and increase efficiency
Automates operations, manages and supports cloud infrastructure, codes and scripts, handles Ameren CI/CD toolchain, and advises, communicates and collaborates with Digital product teams
Works across multiple areas and integrates knowledge of multiple areas into a single system
Adds enhancements to new/future software releases with emphasis on scalability and resiliency
Executes on cloud-based configuration plans for new systems/technologies
Assists in performing root cause analysis and interprets results; provides input into action plans (e.g., prioritization of issues)
Independently handles/solves software/systems monitoring issues
Assists in development of requirements with business analysts and architects; provides recommendations to enhance design to prevent recurrence of defects
Provides input on client/customer requirements; develops implementation plans utilizing cloud-based solutions
Demonstrates strong working knowledge and understanding of Ameren’s business to provide quality technical feedback
Reviews the Digital organization’s technology enablement and integration plans; determines best course of action for own projects and provides leadership
