Requirements

  • 5+ years of Electrical Engineering management experience of teams of 6+
  • 10+ years of experience in new electronics product development, test, and flight in aerospace applications
  • Expertise in power, digital, and analog circuit design, simulation, and analysis, and testing
  • Expertise in high reliability electronics and FPGA development and test practices

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day execution of engineering work by 8+ Electrical and FPGA engineers to shepherd the team through development, test, and delivery of their products
  • Plan and track engineering tasks, communicate up status of team products
  • Ensure that the Avionics department standards and best practices are employed by the team to quickly deliver high quality products that meet their requirements. Help refine standards and practices based on lessons learned
  • Provide tools and resources needed by the team to perform their work
  • Participate in supporting technical tasks including design reviews, troubleshooting, and surge engineering effort when needed
  • Help teammates develop their skills and careers in alignment with their interests and the company’s
  • Perform performance evaluations for reporting teammates as well as regular one-on-ones
