Requirements

Ability to incorporate business concerns into planning requirements and advise segment management on emerging risks and best practices
Capability to manage the fieldwork of several audits simultaneously, ensuring accurate and complete testing of key controls in compliance with departmental protocols and auditing standards
Experience evaluating corrective measures for unresolved matters, following up on progress, and preparing summary reports for executive management
Proficiency in monitoring key business initiatives and providing insight on control issues and risk activities
Knowledge of external leading practices and benchmarks to embed within the Internal Audit function
Skills in developing and managing relationships with LOB executives, external auditors, and regulators
Ability to ensure effective reporting of audit findings to the Audit Committee without impairing business unit relationships
Capacity to build strong working relationships with LOB clients for high client satisfaction
Experience coordinating audit activities with external auditors, Operational Risk Management, Compliance, and SOX/FCR teams to avoid duplication
Ability to support Audit Director in achieving vision, strategic objectives, and administration of a comprehensive internal audit plan
Strong management skills to oversee work of senior and staff auditors
Coaching expertise in people management and development
Proactive approach to training and development, including creating in-audit training content and delivery
Ability to build diverse teams and lead changes within the Internal Audit organization
Leadership skills to translate department vision into action plans, motivate teams, manage effective working teams, and enable employee empowerment and succession planning

Responsibilities

Organization, execution, planning, and administration of audits within the Wealth Management Line of Business (LOB)
Directing the evaluation of controls and reviewing compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations
Coordinating and directing reporting of audit results to Voya management
Managing fieldwork of several audits simultaneously
Evaluating corrective measures and following up on unresolved control matters
Preparing summary reports for the Wealth Management Business to executive management
Monitoring key business initiatives and providing insight on control issues and risk activities
Coordinating with Internal Audit’s Professional Practice Management to schedule LOB resources
Building awareness of external leading practices and benchmarks for the Internal Audit function
Developing and managing relationships with LOB executives, external auditors, and regulators
Ensuring effective reporting of audit findings to the Audit Committee
Developing strong working relationships with LOB clients
Coordinating audit activities with external auditors, Operational Risk Management, Compliance, and SOX/FCR team
Supporting Audit Director in vision, strategic objectives, scope, and administration of the internal audit plan
Managing and overseeing work performed by senior and staff auditors
Coaching on people management and development
Developing careers through training and development
Creating and delivering in-audit training content
