Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience working in a marine environment, with a preference for experience in outdoor, field-based testing such as robotics, drones, autonomous systems, or marine vehicles. Prior hands-on experience with unmanned systems is also required.
The ASV Operator will conduct hands-on testing of Autonomous Surface Vessels (ASVs) on the water, assessing performance under real-world conditions. They will collaborate with the engineering team to define test parameters and troubleshoot issues, while recording and analyzing data from tests. The role includes developing test protocols, documenting results, and providing reports on vessel performance. Additionally, the operator will identify and diagnose performance issues, ensure proper maintenance and setup of test equipment, conduct testing safely and in compliance with regulations, and provide feedback for design improvements.
