Job Description: Retirement Plan Administrator (Large Plan/Audit Team)

Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 (based on NY and similar metro areas; may differ based on hire location) Employment Type: Full-time Location Type: Hybrid (Midtown Manhattan office available)

The Retirement Plan Administration (RPA) team is crucial for ensuring the compliance, reporting, and administration of Vestwell's retirement plans. This specific role is within the large plan/audit team, focusing on providing subject matter expertise on qualified retirement plan rules and operations. The team acts as an internal consulting group, driving strategic, operational, and product improvements, and ensuring cross-functional alignment in the annual retirement plan administration process.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Retirement Plan Administrator to join this dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing their responsibilities, confidently addressing retirement plan inquiries, and collaborating to enhance workstreams.


Responsibilities

  • Perform year-end testing for Defined Contribution (DC) plans.
  • Respond to retirement plan-related questions from the client service team.
  • Assist with plan terminations and EPCRS corrections.
  • Provide consulting services to sponsors and advisors as needed.

Requirements

  • Experience in Retirement Plan Administration for Qualified Plans, including working on IQPA audits.
  • Exceptional understanding of plan administration, compliance testing, and IRS regulations.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Passion for helping people.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
  • Proven ability to think analytically and operate independently within set deadlines.
  • Strong team player mentality.
  • Demonstrates ownership and initiative in all aspects of work.
  • QKA certifications are preferred.
