Requirements

  • 3+ years of practical experience as an engineer (field engineer preferred)
  • Possession of a standard automobile driver's license and ability to drive to customer sites (includes day trips and overnight travel)
  • Business-level proficiency in Japanese (for verbal customer interaction, creating work reports, and internal system input)
  • Ability to perform physical tasks required for inspection, repair, and installation (standing, walking, sitting, squatting, kneeling, climbing stairs, carrying with hands/arms)

Responsibilities

  • Visit customers in assigned area to perform equipment inspections, repairs, and installations
  • Create reports after work and explain them to customers
  • Manage parts ordering and inventory to enable rapid response
  • Promptly record work history in internal systems to share equipment status and collaborate with the team
  • Support stable equipment operation by proposing appropriate maintenance, consumables, creating quotes, and contributing to service business growth
  • Continuously improve product knowledge and technical skills to provide appropriate technical advice to customers and enhance satisfaction
  • Maintain, install, and repair SCIEX products at internal labs and external customer sites, working independently to resolve issues
