  • Ability to lead collaboration between Finance and Customer Programs Departments for accounting and reporting of customer programs, including externally funded programs (e.g., CPUC, California Energy Commission)
  • Oversight experience with accounting and reporting for CPUC-funded programs like San Diego Regional Energy Network (SDREN)
  • Proficiency in managing customer program department invoicing processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance of financial records
  • Skills in reconciling monthly ledgers, compiling, analyzing, and reporting financial information, and providing budgetary support
  • Experience overseeing indirect cost allocation plans in compliance with federal and state regulations, including accurate distribution across programs/departments, grant compliance, operating budget reimbursement, and providing strategic financial insights to leadership
  • Ability to lead, develop, and grow finance teams to support customer program offerings

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and lead the Capital Investment Plan, including CPUC-funded programs
  • Manage, review, monitor, and grow multi-year investments in the agency’s 5-year CIP and annual capital budget
  • Conduct financial planning for future growth, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, regulatory compliance, and fiscal responsibility
  • Lead collaboration between Finance and Customer Programs Departments in administering and overseeing accounting and reporting for all customer programs, including those funded by CPUC and California Energy Commission
  • Provide oversight of accounting and reporting for CPUC-funded San Diego Regional Energy Network (SDREN)
  • Manage the customer program department invoicing process, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance of financial records
  • Reconcile monthly ledgers; compile, analyze, and report financial information; and provide budgetary support
  • Oversee the agency’s indirect cost allocation plan, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations
  • Support grant compliance, operating budget reimbursement, and provide strategic financial insights to leadership
  • Lead, develop, and grow the finance team to support Community Power customer program offerings
