Requirements

  • Leadership experience in maintenance and reliability groups within engineering organizations
  • Ability to supervise, coach, and develop staff including performance reviews and development planning
  • Expertise in maintenance planning, scheduling, work coordination, and resource management (recruitment, resource planning, succession planning)
  • Knowledge of GMP manufacturing operations, compliance standards, deviation management, and change controls
  • Experience setting and reinforcing maintenance and reliability standards, tracking key performance indicators
  • Capability to collaborate cross-functionally, influence governance, and align with corporate/global engineering initiatives and best practices
  • Resilience, creativity, and collaborative skills for dynamic startup phases in greenfield manufacturing sites

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coach maintenance supervisors, reliability engineers, and staff, including performance reviews and development planning
  • Provide maintenance work coordination supporting all manufacturing areas and site objectives; offer input to key functional groups and partners
  • Oversee maintenance and reliability staffing, including recruitment, resource planning, and succession planning
  • Ensure maintenance planning, scheduling, and work completion meet production and site business needs
  • In coordination with engineering, set and reinforce standards for maintenance and reliability; identify, track, and report key performance indicators
  • Oversee maintenance and reliability issues and improvement initiatives; review and approve deviations and change controls
  • Ensure compliance with corporate maintenance and reliability expectations (e.g., PM execution, reliability roadmap)
  • Actively collaborate within global engineering/Engineering Tech Center network for alignment with corporate initiatives and best practices
  • Support site governance through participation, influence, and leadership in cross-functional meetings and initiatives
  • During startup phase (2025-2027): Build organization capability, capacity, and culture; develop and implement systems/processes leveraging Lilly knowledge and external best practices; ensure regulatory compliance
