Candidates should possess a qualified accountant background with a minimum of 5 years of experience in FP&A, specifically with a focus on project finance. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills are required, alongside the ability to interpret complex data and question the information provided. Experience working with manual financial processes and a proven track record of driving process improvements is essential, as is proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Smartsheets.
The Associate Director - FP&A, Projects will develop and maintain detailed financial models for project budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans, analyze project performance against budget, identify variances, and provide insightful commentary to stakeholders. They will prepare and present regular financial reports, including KPIs, to senior management, work closely with project managers, operate the staff time capitalisation process, and perform ad hoc analysis as requested. Furthermore, the role involves identifying and documenting existing manual processes, participating in system evaluation, collaborating on system implementation, and ensuring accurate reporting and forecasting after system integration.
