Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum ten years law enforcement experience
  • Minimum five years protective/tactical experience
  • Minimum of five years in a supervisory or team leader role, with responsibilities including personnel management and operations management
  • Certified instructor in defensive tactics and firearms, proficient in defensive/tactical driving
  • Valid United States Driver’s License
  • Current Passport
  • High level of personal integrity, confidentiality, good judgment, and problem-solving skills
  • Acceptable professional appearance
  • Strong emotional intelligence and self-awareness
  • Comfortable in a variety of social settings
  • Ability to work shifts including days/nights/weekends/holidays
  • Proficiency in use and proper maintenance of equipment (vehicles, medical supplies, communications devices, weapons, etc.)
  • Proficient writing skills for detailed reports
  • Preferred
  • Graduation from a certified driving school
  • Good understanding of latest technology in smartphones, communications/tracking apps, and collaboration apps
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and as a solo practitioner
  • Excellent communicator with ability to professionally converse with clients, superiors, peers, and vendors
  • Bi-lingual (English, Spanish)

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the overall safety and security of designated Principals
  • Organize schedules and drive Principals to various personal/business venues and/or additional off-site assignments
  • Provide close protection to Principals at various venues, events, business meetings, personal trips, etc
  • Conduct advance work for routes, venues, and travel trips
  • Coordinate with Principal’s staff and outside personnel to facilitate seamless operations
  • Demonstrate proficiency in defensive tactics to deescalate or actively engage in potential threats against the principals
  • Routinely manage team and contract vendors (supervisory responsibilities)
  • Provide insight or collect information for budget activities (budget responsibilities)
  • Communicate with principal’s staff, coworkers, and third-party vendors using a customer service approach
  • Complete detailed reports
  • Adapt to various tasks outside traditional security operations/roles
  • Engage responsibly to an active threat against the Principal
