Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field
15+ years of experience in corporate communications, with at least 7 years in a leadership role
Proven track record of developing and executing successful communications strategies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience with a variety of internal and external communication channels
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global environment
Outstanding leadership, organizational, and project management skills
Must reside in the greater San Diego area and be able to commute to corporate offices (relocation assistance available within 6 months or mutually agreed time)
Full-time role, Monday through Friday, with 2-3 in-office days per week and additional on-site presence as needed
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field
Experience working in a multinational organization
Knowledge of digital marketing and social media best practices

Responsibilities

Collaborate with internal and external partners to plan, develop, implement, and evaluate strategic communications, employee engagements, thought leadership opportunities, and strategies supporting enterprise activations
Develop a deep understanding of the organization and leverage knowledge of industry trends to shape stories conveying the company’s priorities, values, and strategy
Manage a variety of internal and external communication channels to effectively engage employees and key stakeholders, in partnership with public relations, regional communications, and social media teams
Write, edit, and prepare strategic thought-leadership communications between senior and executive leaders, back to the organization, employees, and external audiences
Utilize various communication tools to keep employees informed and motivated
Execute against the plan for delivering content through omni-channel communications (e.g., intranet, email, social media)
Apply broad expertise to provide creative and effective solutions to unique issues in highly specialized fields
Work on highly complex assignments requiring conceptual thinking and evaluation of enigmatic components
Create formal networks with key decision makers and be recognized as a thought leader to diverse stakeholders
Convey advanced information requiring persuasion and deep business understanding
Exercise independent judgment in methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
Perform other related duties as assigned due to business needs
