Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field
  • 15+ years of experience in corporate communications, with at least 7 years in a leadership role
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful communications strategies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with a variety of internal and external communication channels
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global environment
  • Outstanding leadership, organizational, and project management skills
  • Must reside in the greater San Diego area and be able to commute to corporate offices (relocation assistance available within 6 months or mutually agreed time)
  • Full-time role, Monday through Friday, with 2-3 in-office days per week and additional on-site presence as needed
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field
  • Experience working in a multinational organization
  • Knowledge of digital marketing and social media best practices

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to plan, develop, implement, and evaluate strategic communications, employee engagements, thought leadership opportunities, and strategies supporting enterprise activations
  • Develop a deep understanding of the organization and leverage knowledge of industry trends to shape stories conveying the company’s priorities, values, and strategy
  • Manage a variety of internal and external communication channels to effectively engage employees and key stakeholders, in partnership with public relations, regional communications, and social media teams
  • Write, edit, and prepare strategic thought-leadership communications between senior and executive leaders, back to the organization, employees, and external audiences
  • Utilize various communication tools to keep employees informed and motivated
  • Execute against the plan for delivering content through omni-channel communications (e.g., intranet, email, social media)
  • Apply broad expertise to provide creative and effective solutions to unique issues in highly specialized fields
  • Work on highly complex assignments requiring conceptual thinking and evaluation of enigmatic components
  • Create formal networks with key decision makers and be recognized as a thought leader to diverse stakeholders
  • Convey advanced information requiring persuasion and deep business understanding
  • Exercise independent judgment in methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
  • Perform other related duties as assigned due to business needs
