Responsibilities

  • Design and execute strategic projects, formulating strategic recommendations and obtaining stakeholder buy-in
  • Work with leads in corporate strategy and senior management to define and set goals through the annual strategic planning process
  • Develop actionable recommendations that support the business strategy and goals
  • Work with senior team members to plan and implement recommendations and contribute to building trust and consensus
  • Develop business and operational action plans and work with peers, senior management, and stakeholders to drive implementation
  • Participate in articulating the S&P Global strategy in a clear and compelling narrative to key stakeholders, tailoring messages to executive audiences
  • Participate in preparing communication of S&P Global strategy and updates to the board of directors and investor community, occasionally leading presentations
  • Work with the M&A team and Chief Client Office to profile target companies for acquisitions, joint ventures, and alliance partnerships
  • Participate in scenario planning, case studies, and modeling to strengthen the strategy
  • Analyze businesses and opportunities to assist in executing strategic decisions
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies
  • Participate in identifying changes in market conditions, industry trends, regulatory environment, regional or country macro-economic factors, etc., requiring strategic plan adjustments, including technology impacts
  • Be a role model, educator, coach, and mentor across the organization; advocate for an enterprise mindset
  • Manage the presentation creation process and lead preparation of regular reports and presentations to S&P Global management teams
  • Contribute to establishing strategic growth priorities and plans, and track key business metrics and progress against strategic initiatives
  • Partner with teams across S&P Global to identify and assess organic and inorganic growth opportunities, including M&A prospecting, due diligence, and transaction execution
