Requirements

  • Must meet the requirements for registration, supervision, and professional development as set forth by either: The Missouri Credentialing Board, Inc.; OR The appropriate board of professional registration with the Department of Economic Development for licensure as a psychologist, professional counselor, or social worker
  • Illinois Requirements: Obtain CADC according to IL admin rule part 2060 within 2 years and renew as required
  • Applicant must be willing to become licensed in additional states and comfortable with providing telehealth services
  • Basic knowledge of case management and rehabilitation methods related to mental health and substance use disorder treatment
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet client needs and agency requirements

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the screening and assessment process under the supervision of licensed/qualified counselors or therapists, ensuring adherence to designated time frames and standards
  • Collaborate in the development of treatment plans for clients, demonstrating evolution and individualization based on assessment findings and under supervision
  • Complete all correspondence in a timely manner, including documentation of services provided and adherence to regulatory standards
  • Participate in clinical staffing/team meetings, providing feedback on relevant cases and contributing to treatment planning discussions
  • Facilitate group counseling sessions, group education, family conferences, and individual counseling sessions, focusing on promoting recovery, healthy decision-making, and improved problem-solving skills
  • Maintain positive professional relationships with referral sources, clients, and coworkers, adhering to Code of Ethics and agency policies
  • Handle crisis situations as they arise, following agency policies and notifying supervisors when necessary
  • Demonstrate interest in the long-term and short-term goals and objectives of the company
  • Complete annual training requirements as specified in individualized training plans
