Requirements
- Obtain and maintain a Life/Health state insurance license, as required by the State Department of Insurance (or be willing and able to obtain all required licenses within the first 90 days of employment)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong ability to persuade, motivate, and influence others
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to learn appropriate insurance company and firm software systems
- Demonstrates core values, exuding behavior that is aligned with the firm’s culture
Responsibilities
- Grow your own book of business by generating, prospecting, soliciting, and closing new accounts
- Retain existing clients
- Identify and generate new sales opportunities through analysis and discovery
- Participate in sales meetings to review sales activities and prospective customers with leadership
- Develop a full working knowledge of respective insurance line products and procedures
- Learn to present proposals in a professional manner, reviewing coverages in detail to ensure understanding
- Maintain an understanding and knowledge of insurance industry and underwriting criteria for Insurance Company Partners represented by the firm
