Requirements

  • Proven leadership in managing and developing high-performing technical teams, especially in identity or security engineering
  • Extensive hands-on experience with enterprise identity and access management platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure AD, Okta, SailPoint, Ping Identity)
  • Solid understanding of identity data architectures, identity federation, and integration of cloud/on-premise systems
  • Expertise in authentication and authorization frameworks and protocols (SAML, OAuth, OIDC, LDAP, SCIM)
  • Strong analytical and systems-thinking skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into effective solutions
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience architecting and implementing Identity Data Fabrics or similar unified identity data platforms (preferred)
  • Familiarity with Zero Trust architectures and modern security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001) (preferred)
  • Background in data analytics and correlating large identity datasets for actionable security outcomes (preferred)
  • Exposure to DevSecOps practices, security automation, and infrastructure as code (IaC) (preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with legal, compliance, and audit teams to achieve risk and regulatory goals (preferred)
  • Track record of innovation in identity, security, or automation initiatives (preferred)
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in identity engineering, cybersecurity, or IT with at least 5 years in a technical leadership role
  • Deep intellectual curiosity and humility

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of skilled identity engineers, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation
  • Oversee the architecture, development, and operation of robust identity management systems, including Identity Data Fabric, access governance, authentication, and authorization services
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—security, engineering, business, and compliance—to embed identity best practices into all business and engineering processes
  • Champion the integration of modern authentication protocols (SAML, OAuth, OIDC, SCIM) and Zero Trust principles across the organization
  • Drive automation and process improvements to enhance identity lifecycle management, provisioning, and deprovisioning
  • Monitor, measure, and report on key risk and performance indicators (KRIs and KPIs) to ensure alignment with business and security objectives
  • Stay abreast of evolving threats, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements to proactively mitigate identity-related risks
  • Represent the identity engineering function in customer, regulator, and stakeholder engagements, articulating security value and building trust
  • Deliver a resilient, scalable, and unified identity management platform that enables secure and seamless user access across the enterprise
  • Achieve end-to-end integration of identity security objectives into product and business lifecycles, tracked by clear OKRs
  • Implement continuous monitoring and control processes to maintain security standards and audit readiness (e.g., SOC2)
  • Consistently deliver strategic projects that automate and optimize identity processes, reducing manual effort and risk
  • Develop and retain top cyber talent, cultivating a learning and high-performance environment
