Responsibilities

  • Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
  • Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
  • Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas
  • Perform opening and closing procedures
  • Process corporate directives (e.g., Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, Key Survey, store communications)
  • Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays
  • Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash deposits/receipts), and loss prevention
  • Maintain store areas to company standards, including well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom
  • Protect and secure company assets, including store cash
  • Adhere to policies/procedures (e.g., safety guidelines) and ensure associates follow them
  • Help supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
  • Ensure positive, safe, respectful environment with professional interactions
  • Maintain store cleanliness (e.g., bathrooms, sweeping/mopping floors, trash removal, neat presentation)
  • Other duties as assigned
