Requirements

Candidates must possess a CPA designation with over 5 years of progressive accounting experience under IFRS or US GAAP, preferably in a tech, SaaS, or high-growth scale-up environment. A strong analytical mindset, 2+ years of people leadership experience, excellent communication skills, a high degree of ownership, integrity, and attention to detail are essential. Experience with NetSuite and the restaurant industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

The Assistant Controller will oversee and improve month-end and year-end close processes, manage core accounting functions including AP, AR, payroll, revenue recognition, and tax compliance. This role involves leading and developing the accounting team, managing equity incentive plans, preparing financial reports and variance analyses, resolving technical accounting matters, coordinating financial statement preparation, and liaising with external auditors. The position also requires leveraging AI solutions to optimize accounting workflows.
