- Valid ServSafe Food Safety Certification (required and must be maintained in good standing)
- May require yearly certification for a forklift license
- In Florida, must obtain a qualifier certification through the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services for retail propane oversight (BJ’s covers cost and training)

Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction within the club and drive club performance, particularly for directly managed departments (preparing for Merchandising, Perishables, or Member Experience tracks)
- Ensure consistent execution of policies and procedures, positive member service experience, and Grand Opening Look Daily (GOLD) standard club conditions
- Lead audit compliance efforts and drive collaboration with Business Partners (BPs)
- Oversee onboarding, certification, and training to ensure food safety and operational excellence
- Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) for the club as needed, taking full responsibility for club operations, team leadership, and member engagement during assigned shifts
- Develop talent and team by fostering a culture of growth through collaboration, coaching, empowerment, and creating opportunities for success
- Display leadership by fostering trust, promoting open communication, resolving conflicts constructively, and building inclusive relationships
- Teach, coach, and lead team members through training, feedback, and on-the-job coaching to support development
- Drive a values-based culture by promoting strategic thinking, ethical decision-making, and inclusion
- Create a safe and collaborative team environment
