Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting (CPA and/or MBA combined with solid accounting experience will be considered in lieu of a degree in Accounting)
  • Six to nine years of experience in public accounting and/or industry accounting/finance
  • Desirable experience in fund accounting or financial reporting processes, especially with private equity partnerships

Responsibilities

  • Lead project teams and own projects from start to finish
  • Interact with clients and their Big 4 auditors on all aspects of engagements, including report writing
  • Develop and manage client relationships and participate in business development efforts
  • Integrate with client’s senior management to solve complex accounting issues and prepare proposed resolutions
  • Review work prepared by consultants on operational workstreams in the asset management industry (private equity, private credit, real estate funds, mutual funds, and hedge funds)
  • Review consultants’ deliverables related to financial and regulatory reporting in accordance with SEC, regulatory, and LP requirements
  • Conduct research and documentation projects related to new ASC accounting standards
  • Lead process improvement projects and implementation of changes
  • Lead and mentor consultants, acting as a role model and providing creative solutions
  • Participate in the firm’s recruiting efforts, client relationship building, and business development efforts
