Requirements

Undergraduate degree in Accounting (CPA and/or MBA combined with solid accounting experience will be considered in lieu of a degree in Accounting)
Six to nine years of experience in public accounting and/or industry accounting/finance
Desirable experience in fund accounting or financial reporting processes, especially with private equity partnerships

Responsibilities

Lead project teams and own projects from start to finish
Interact with clients and their Big 4 auditors on all aspects of engagements, including report writing
Develop and manage client relationships and participate in business development efforts
Integrate with client’s senior management to solve complex accounting issues and prepare proposed resolutions
Review work prepared by consultants on operational workstreams in the asset management industry (private equity, private credit, real estate funds, mutual funds, and hedge funds)
Review consultants’ deliverables related to financial and regulatory reporting in accordance with SEC, regulatory, and LP requirements
Conduct research and documentation projects related to new ASC accounting standards
Lead process improvement projects and implementation of changes
Lead and mentor consultants, acting as a role model and providing creative solutions
Participate in the firm’s recruiting efforts, client relationship building, and business development efforts
