Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting (CPA and/or MBA combined with solid accounting experience will be considered in lieu of a degree in Accounting)
  • Two to five years of experience in public accounting and/or industry accounting/finance
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Strong technical skills and a working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting
  • Effective analytical and critical thinking abilities
  • Entrepreneurial nature, self-motivated, ethical, and dependable
  • High energy with commitment to quality client service

Responsibilities

  • Providing technical and operational accounting, financial reporting, regulatory reporting, and similar support to clients in the asset management industry, primarily in private equity, private credit, real estate, mutual funds, and hedge fund asset classes
  • Handling accounting and financial operations in the asset management/private funds sector – capital events, LP reporting (preparing waterfall calculations, management fee, and performance reporting), and fundraising
  • Researching and documenting projects related to new ASC accounting standards
  • Implementing process improvement projects and changes
